Our Approach
Here at Little Ones, we want to support you and your families to the best of our abilities. Navigating the world of paediatric services is difficult, especially here in New Brunswick where public services are often understaffed and schools are under resourced. We want to be supportive to you, to explore your child’s unique strengths and validate any concerns that you may have.
Little Ones Therapy services are primarily play based. Children learn through play. Having opportunities to play helps children of all abilities develop physical, cognitive, communication, and social skills. Little Ones therapists believe that play is a key activity for children of all ages and abilities. Our sessions are pretty fun!
We welcome children of all ages, although our strengths are with the younger kids (0-12). We hope to be a safe space for your child, where we provide neurodiversity affirming practises. We understand our own strengths and limitations and are happy to help navigate the system and find other professionals who can support your child’s needs alongside us.

Is the clinic wheelchair/stroller accessible?
The clinic parking lot is on a slope, so take caution when travelling in the parking lot. The unit and clinic space is wheelchair/stroller accessible with a wheelchair accessible bathroom.
Is there parking?
There is parking, that we share with the daycare staff and parents and sometimes the parking lot can get congested. Take caution with the kids coming in and out of the building. You are free to park down by the playground – along the building, or along the edge of the property, or up top in the designated parking spots.
What ages do you work with?
We have the ability to work with paediatric clients of all ages, 0-18. Our clinic space is sometimes a bit ‘young’ for older teenagers to feel comfortable and sometimes older kids do better in a more adult facility with bigger equipment etc. We can have that discussion before you come in.
Does insurance cover the cost of therapy sessions?
Many insurance plans cover a portion of the cost of therapy sessions. It is up to you to contact your provider to determine if your plan covers the specific service that will be billed. Services are sometimes lumped into one category for paraprofessionals, but are usually listed separately (speech language pathology, occupational therapy). We cannot bill an Occupational Therapy session under physiotherapy for example. Please contact your provider directly to insure you are aware of coverage that your individual plan offers.
Can my insurance plan be billed directly?
At this time, we can direct bill Blue Cross for all of our therapists. We are working on being able to direct bill other companies.
Do I need a Doctor’s referral?
You do not need a doctor’s referral to see us, work with us, and have us make recommendations to you. You MAY need a doctor’s referral for a particular services to be covered under your insurance plan. It is important that you check your coverage to determine if a doctor’s referral is needed for reimbursement.
Is there a waitlist?
We don’t have a waitlist right now however we have a growing list of kids wanting to come in! We are able to schedule initial assessments for occupational therapy, or speech language pathology, within a couple of weeks once our intake form has been submitted back to us.
What if I have to cancel a session?
If you need to cancel an appointment, please connect with us as soon as possible by calling 506-474-0470. Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves space in our clinician’s day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24 hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Families who provide less than 24 hour notice, or miss their appointment without notice, will be charged a cancellation fee of $30 to the card on file.
Does Little Ones offer Virtual Services?
Yes! We can connect online through a variety of platforms – Teams, Zoom or via our JANE app. Some sessions need to be in person, but there are many opportunities to delivery service virtually if requested!
