Rita Soffee

Occupational Therapist

Rita has been a valued member of our team since 2023. She has expertise working with children in a variety of areas, including fine motor and printing skills, emotional regulation and anxiety management as they relate to occupational engagement, sensory processing needs, play skills and development. Rita is passionate about providing occupational therapy services and supporting children and families within the community. She loves collaborating with team members, community partners, and families to support children in reaching their goals. 

Rita graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2020. She then continued her education at Dalhousie University, earning a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2022. Rita is licensed to practice in New Brunswick and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.

Rita has completed the following continuing education courses:

  • Anxiety Management in Children: Practical Strategies.
  • BEST Strategies to Promote Occupational Participation Using a Strength-Based and Neurodiversity-Affirming lens. 
  • Handwriting Without Tears Assessment and Programming.

In her spare time Rita enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as, engaging in various forms of physical activity. “
