Shannon Stuart

Occupational Therapist

Shannon is an occupational therapist who has over 9 years of experience working with children and their families.  She has worked as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team for most of her paeds OT career.  She is experienced in working with preschool and school aged children in a variety of areas, including: fine motor and motor coordination skills, sensory processing, play and development, and feeding. She has been involved in multidisciplinary assessment of infants determined to be high risk for neurological disorders through a neonatal high risk follow up program.  She has specialized training in Neuro-developmental Treatment, Sensory Processing and complex equipment prescription including wheelchairs, rehabilitation aids and car seats.  Shannon also has experience creating custom molded splints for hand and arm injuries. 

Shannon graduated in 2012 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSc. OT) from Queen’s university Kingston.  She is in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.  She moved back to her home town after university to pursue her career in OT and has been working with children ever since. 

Shannon is a busy mom of 2 girls and spends most of her free time playing outdoors and taking them to their activities.   She loves renovating and interior design, good food and hanging out with her family and friends.
